Submit your site to Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Entire Web
Its best to make sure you have a site map on your site before submitting your website to these search engines so they can easily find your other pages. It will also increase your results if you check your site to make sure it follows search engine standards.
Google website submission: 1. Go to: http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl 2. Enter the URL of your website. (ex: http://www.wdio.com ) 3. Enter the squiggly letters as verification then click on “Add URL”
Yahoo website submission: 1. Go to: http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit 2. Click on the “Submit a website or webpage” link 3. Enter the URL of your website. Click “Submit URL”
Entire Web website submission: This step covers all the other bases but you should still submit your site directly to Google, Yahoo, and Bing(msn). 1. Go to: http://www.entireweb.com/free_submission/ 2. Enter the characters as shown in the box. 3. Enter the URL of your website. 4. Enter your email address in the space provided. 5. Check your email and click on the link they send you to complete the submission.
Claim your Google Local listing
1. Go to: http://www.google.com/localbusinesscenter 2. Create a Google account or sign in using a Gmail address. 3. Watch video to get an idea of what Google business center has to offer. 4. Chances are your business is already listed. Go to: http://maps.google.com 5. Type in your business name, city, and state. 6. Find your listing on the map and click on “Edit” 7. Then click on “Claim your business” or “Local Business Center” if it has been claimed. 8. Select “Edit my business information” and click continue 9. Add as much information about your business as you can. Click “Submit”
