There
are two contest types available, Photo contest and Member Participation
Contest. Create an account on the Northland Extreme Makeover Home
Edition website and earn points by joining in on all the community
fun. Photo Contest: You
can upload photos of your experiences with the Extreme Home Makeover as
well as post your videos(YouTube embed only). Photos submitted in the
contest category will be voted on by other members. The owners of the
top 10 photos will each win their pick of one (1) prize pack from the prize list.
Highest ranked gets to choose first. The final day to vote on photos
will be October 31st. All winning parties will be notified and posted
by November 6th, 2009. Participation Contest: At
the end of each week the top participating member will get their pick
from a list of restaurant gift certificates($20 value)and 1 movie ticket to Superior 7 Theater(see prize list for more details/restrictions). The top
participating members will be chosen based on a point system. You can
earn points several different ways: uploading photos, posting
videos(embed), posting to message boards, correctly answering trivia
questions, as well as daily log-ins, and inviting friends. The winner
of a weekly participation contest will not be eligible to win another
weekly contest. However, there will be 2 "Overall Participation"
winners chosen on October 31st, 2009 at 12:00 midnight (cst) based on total amount of points
earned starting from September 21st, 2009. All members are eligible to win.

Below are the full details of the Northland Extreme Makeover Home Edition Contest
* Name of contest:Northland Extreme Makeover Home Edition Photo/Participation Contest.
* Date/time contest starts:Photos
can be uploaded beginning on September 21st, 2009 at 12am Central.
Participation contest will begin at that time. Voting for the photo
contest will begin September 21st, 2009, however users may still enter
photos until October 10th, 2009.
* Deadline for entries: Deadline for entries is October 10th, 2009 at 12am Central. All photos uploaded past that point are not eligible to win.
* Date/time contest ends:Contest will end on October 31st, 2009 at 12:00 Midnight Central Standard Time
* How to enter contest:Go to www.wdioconnect.com and register by entering a valid e-mail address.
* How often can people enter:Only
once during term of contest. Only one account per person. Creating more
than one account will disqualify that member from all contests.
* How do they play the contest:Users
upload photos of their experience at the Northland Extreme Home
Makeover. User must own the rights to any photo being uploaded.
Professional photographers are not eligible to win the photo contest.
All photos uploaded will be voted on by the online community. All
members have 5 available votes. The owners of the top 10 most voted on
photos pick their 1st choice out of the list of prizes. The most active
member each week will receive their choice of restaurant gift
certificate($20 value) off the available list and 1 movie ticket to Superior 7 Theater(see prize list for more details/restrictions).
Any member can only win the weekly participation contest once.
However, the top 2 most “active” members on the website by the end of
the month will each win a prize pack.(see prize list for more details/restrictions)
“Most active” members are determined by a tracking system that awards
points for log-ins, uploading photos, voting on photos, leaving
comments in message boards, inviting friends, and more if that friend
joins.
* Claiming prize:Arrangements for pick-up will be made at the end of the contest.
* Eligibility:Participants
must be 18 years or older unless they submit written consent from a
parent or guardian. Employees of WDIO are not eligible to enter either
contest. Professional photographers are not eligible to enter the
photo contest.
* Limits per family/household:Limit 1 prize per house hold
* Tie breaking procedures (if applicable):Any ties will be broken by a final judgment by the WDIO staff.
* Time and means of selecting a winner:Winner will be announced within 1 week of the contest end date.
* Website entries accepted?:Only website entries are accepted.
* Odds/chances of winning:Odds and chances of winning are dependent upon the number of registered participants.
