About Recipe:: Submitted by Terri at the Evening with the Stars event
Ingredients:: 1/2 Cup + 1 Tablespoon Crisco or Butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 oz Red food color
2 rounded teaspoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
1 scant Tablespoon vinegar
1 cup buttermilk
2 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:: Cream Crisco/butter, sugar and eggs. Mix food color, cocoa, vanilla, salt and vinegar and add to creamed mixture. Add buttermilk, flour and baking soda alternately to the other mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
